He is survived by: his siblings, Homer, Sam, Jack, Harry and Lottie; his son-in-law Michael Craig (Martin Robins); his wife Barbara; his children, Victoria Kirtley (Tee), Kristina Craig, James Chapman II (Hannah) and Benjamin Chapman (Christy); his grandchildren, Reid, Hayden, Tucker Kirtley, Scout, Elijah Craig, James III and Matthew Chapman; and his niece Karen Jackson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Andrews Funeral Home (7192 W Main St, Gloucester, VA 23061). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Singleton Methodist Church (5869 Ware Neck Rd, Gloucester, VA 23061).
