She was predeceased by : her parents, Retha Dixon and Herbert Dixon; her husband Dewey Ayers Sr.; her son Tracy Ayers; her great grandchild Holden Ward III; and her sister Carolyn Harlow (Twenty).

She is survived by : her children, Madison Dickerson (Becky), Warren Ayers (Lisa), Lora Ayers (Tracy), Paula Charboneau (John), Michelle Cottee (Andy), Dewey Jr. Ayers (Ashlyn) and Faith Ayers. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Andrews Funeral Home (7192 Main St, Gloucester, VA 23061). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
