He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Guang Shang; his wife Yingming Zhao; his son Donglai Gong; and his grandchildren, Leirun, Huashen and Odin Gong. He was also cherished by his brothers, sister, nieces, and nephews.
Dr. Gong's contributions to the scientific and technological advances of AI in Imaging and its software engineering produced many novel, effective, and efficient algorithms still in use today.
