He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Houston and Goldie Houston; his brother Donald; and his stepson Brad Perkins. He is survived by: his wife Connie Owens Houston; his son Jacob Houston (Tess); his stepdaughter Amanda Carter (Josh); his grandchildren, Zachary, McKinsey, Kingston, Falynn, Owen, Ronnie, Mason and Kathryn; and his siblings, Linda Hoffer, Walter and Wayne Houston.
