She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Robert and Ethel Whiting; her aunt Dorothy Whiting; her parents, Edward Brown and Anna Whiting Brown; her niece Darlene Wilson; and her sister Jacquelyn Hodges.

She is survived by: her son Harold E. Corbin; her daughter-in-law Bobbie; her brother-in-law Saunders Hodges; her aunt Anna Bell Faison; her niece Lisa Washington; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Paul "PJ" Washington, D'Angelo Wilson, Licia Washington and Charlize Wilson; her goddaughter Trina; Holden Washington and King Simmons.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rising Valley Baptist Church.
