She was predeceased by: her parents, David Walker and Vashti Robins Walker; her husband Leamond Edward Owens; her sister Nellie Wray; and her daughter Kathy Leftwich (Christopher Sr).

She is survived by: her brother Melvin Walker (Mildred); her children, Wayne Owens, Warren Lee Sr. (Rosemary), Trisha Weakland (Ken) and Michael Owens; and her grandchildren, Christopher Jr., Megan, Jennifer, Warren Lee, Michael II, Daniel, Robin, Kenny, Chad, Alyssa and Mallory. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
