He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Curtis and Nellie Prillaman Shelton; his wife Sharon Shelton; his grandchildren, Cain Miller, John Delaney, Nicole Delaney, Cole Miller, Jack Hyde, Jacob Shelton, Julian Shelton and Leah Hyde; his daughter Sherry Delaney; his siblings, Doug Shelton, Bobby Shelton (Dottie), Sandra Wood (John), Penny Shelton and Curtis Shelton (Wanda); and his brother-in-law Jon Ayers of Roanoke.
