She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Dickerson and Helen Dickerson; her brother Richard; and her sisters-in-law, Linda Dickerson and Mary V. Dickerson.
She is survived by: her brother Marvin Dickerson; her sons, Joseph Stanley, Jr. (Linda), Christopher Stanley (Justine) and David Stanley; her grandchildren, Joseph Stanley III, Joshua Stanley and Ryan; her nephew Brian Dickerson (Eleanor); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Aelith and Errolyn; her niece Cindy Maxwell (Jon); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Logan and Peyton.
In her honor the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Dickerson Family Fund established at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center whose mission is conducting research in Alzheimer's.
