It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Rebecca Stephens of Goochland, Virginia, who passed away on December 24, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ben Brooks, Sr. and Gertie Brooks; her sister Sandra Brooks; and her granddaughter Bethany Stephens. She is survived by : her husband John Stephens III; her children, John Stephens IV, Cherie Smith (Gary) and Richard Stephens (Tammy); her grandchildren, Matthew Stephens (Stephanie), Christopher and Caitlyn Beasley; her great grandchild Madison Stephens; and her siblings, Benjamin Brooks, Jr., James Brooks, Patricia Dunivan, David Brooks and Cathy Boggs.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Goochland County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center.
