We announce the death of Robert Wayne Martin (Goochland, Virginia), who passed away on September 5, 2026, at the age of 84. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Clinton Martin and Mary Atkinson Martin. He is survived by: his wife Betty Brannan Martin; his sister Catherine Martin Winston; his sons, Stan (Christi) and Mike (Becky); his grandchildren, Ashley Cook (Brandon), Erin Martin, Kendall Martin, Joseph Martin (Kimberly), Brett Martin and Jacob Martin (Emily); and his great grandchildren, Annabelle, Emmelyn, Molly, Caroline, Acre, Callie Cook and Hailey Martin.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cherry Avenue Christian Church (1720 Cherry Ave, Charlottesville, VA 22903). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Forest Grove Christian Church Cemetery (3881 Hadensville-Fife Rd, Goochland, VA 23063).
