She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Steele, Jr.; her children, Samantha Steele Hughes (James) and William "B. J." Henry Steele, III (Whitney); her grandchildren, Brooklynn Hughes, Layne Hughes and Mackenzie Laine Steele; her siblings, Rita Fisher (Tom), Pat Curran (Larry) and Gary Knisley; and her brother-in-law Darrell Coffey. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and so many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Book Hotel Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory (320 N Bridge St, Bedford, VA 24523). A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Book Hotel Virginia Memorial Park (11490 Forest Rd, Forest, VA 24551).
