He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene James Nagel and Jane C. Nagel; his brothers, Kevin T. Nagel and Eugene James Nagel Jr.; and his parents-in-law, Frank and Mildred Russo.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Nagel; his children, John M. "PJ" Nagel Jr. (Christina) and Cristy L. Nagel (Peter); his brother Donald G. Nagel; and his granddaughters, Kaitlynn McClure (Steven), Ashley Porch (Ethan) and Claire Linkous.
