She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Livingston Shimp and Eunice Davis Shimp; her husband Wesley Epperson; her children, Delva Blewitt, Lee Johnson, Roberta Griffin and Stuart Shimp; and her siblings, Roland Shimp and Lucy Iva McIntosh.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Shifflett (Frank) of Gordonsville, Robin Lang of Gordonsville, Mickie Spencer of West Point and Greg Shimp of Illinois. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Preddy Funeral Home - Gordonsville (301 S Main St, Gordonsville, VA 22942). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Mechanicsville Baptist Church Cemetery (10200 Louisa Rd, Gordonsville, VA 22942).
