Aubrey leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Aubrey’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Aubrey will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his mother Josephine Smith; his wife Janet C. Jones Smith; his foster mother Evans; and his son Jeffrey Rand Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Janet Paige Ludwig; his son-in-law Wayne Ludwig; his grandchildren, James See (Monica), Valerie Cox (Mike) and Patti Miller (Ron); and his great grandchildren, Savannah Benson and Edwin Ford. He is also survived by four great-great-grandchildren.
The inurnment will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Bethel Cemetery (125 Muse Rd, Gore, VA 22637).
