He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee and Henrietta Harmon Harner; and his brothers, Billy, Harry and Nicky Harner.

He is survived by: his wife Frances Dowling Harner; his children, Terry Lee Harner, Robert Harner (Sharon), Deborah Potash (Steve), Patty Harner (Anthony), Chris Harner (Walker) and James Harner (Heather); his grandchildren, Shawn, Christine, Joseph, Jack, Philip, Zachary, Ashley, Easton and Danielle; and his great grandchildren, Jaylynn, Jamal, Colton and Trey.
