He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert and Ruby Kerns McKee; his daughter Amanda Sue McKee; and his siblings, Robert Blaine and Brenda Staton.
He is survived by: his uncles, Pete Kerns and Frank Lockhart; his wife Peggy S. Puffinberger McKee; his sons, James A. "Jamie" McKee of Gore, VA and Wendell "Scott" McKee of Capon Bridge, WV; his siblings, Kenny McKee of Winchester, VA, Larry McKee of Gore, VA and Linda Stinson of Lebanon Church, VA; and his grandson Waylon Cash Jewell.
