He was predeceased by: his parents, Smithy Marshall and Eathel M. Whitacre Pugh; his brother Bradley Pugh; and his brother-in-law Hugh Luebehusen. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Ann Fredman Pugh; his children, Timothy Michael Pugh of Gore, VA and Jennifer L. Carter (Chris) of Gore, VA; his sister Joan Luby Luebehusen of Colonial Heights, VA; his sister-in-law Carolyn Pugh of Gore, VA; and his grandson Tanner Ray-Lynn Carter.
