She was predeceased by: her husband Brenton Hall Staples of Goshen; her parents, William McKinley Burke and Leslie Mae Burke (Jackson); her siblings, Robert Franklin Burke (Elizabeth), John Edward Burke, Sr. (Helen L.) and Evelyn Louise Fields (Lindsey); her nephews, Robert Burke, Jr., McKinley Burke (Kenny), Paul Burke, Steven Fridley, Blake Burke and Tony Burke; and her niece Dorothy "Dotty" Burke.
