Porta J. Nickles Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Porta J. Nickles of Great Falls, Virginia, born in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 11, 2023, at the age of 107, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband John Nickles; her parents, Evangelos Lemberakis and Stella Lemberakis; her siblings, John Lemberakis, Nellie Tozzi and Nicholas Lemberakis; and her son-in-law Robert Bankel.

She is survived by: her children, Peter Nickles (Maria), Joan Nickles (Nico Cilenti) and Evan Nickles; and her grandchildren, John Nickles (Shelley), Cassandra Rinaldi (Anthony), Philip Nickles (Laura), Charisse Mihalakos and Aletta Martin (Rob). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Porta's memory can be made to the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church of Middletown, New York.
