She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Alva Hedrick and Eliza Annie Short Hedrick; her husband Felix Thornton Vasser; her daughter Betty Vasser; her grandsons, Joey Bennett and Justin Hedrick; her great grandchild Corey Layne; her son-in-law Mike Shriver; her siblings, Giles Hedrick, Shirley Hedrick, Henry Hedrick, John Hedrick, Mary Newman, Vernell Barbour, Hazel Brown, Helen Walker and Virginia Hedrick; and also James Hedrick.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Vasser (Angie), Margaret Vasser, Peggy V. Blair (Bobby), Frances V. Knox (Jim), Katherine V. Shriver and Darnell V. Robertson (Jeff). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Colbert-Moran Funeral Home (307 Main St, Gretna, VA 24557). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Colbert-Moran Chapel (307 Main St, Gretna, VA 24557).
