Jimmie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Lassie Jones and Gladys Coleman Jones; his siblings, Gloria Harris, Tommy Jones and Waverly Jones; and also Jerry Jones.
He is survived by: his siblings, Lester Jones (Terry) of Columbus, Maryland, Joyce Thomas (Lloyd) of Callands, Julia Wiles of Gretna, Virginia, Gayle Jackson (Ronnie) of Gretna, Virginia and Barbara Miller (Henry) of Gretna, Virginia; his aunts, Liz Jones of Danville, Clara Casey of Washington, DC, Leona English of Washington, DC and Ruby Cosby of Teaneck; and his close friends, Carlton "Bro" Hall and Anita Crews. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home, Inc. (668 Zion Rd, Gretna, VA 24557). A reception will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at 8421 Rockford School Rd, Gretna, VA 24557. A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at the Callands Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery (1097 Strawberry Rd, Chatham, VA 24531).
