He was predeceased by : his parents, James Monroe Harless and Frances Marie Bradley Harless; and his brothers, David Harless and Terry Harless. He is survived by : his wife Segunda "Cindy" Harless; his children, Alan Harless (Lauren) of Danville and Cynthia Warren of Midlothian; his sisters, Brenda Baldwin (Robert) of West Virginia, Deanna Sammons (Dick) of West Virginia and Shelia Richardson of West Virginia; and his grandchildren, Gavin Harless, Aidan Harless, Kamryn Harless, Peyton Warren, Colton Warren and Jackson.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to the National Center for Healthy Veterans, P.O. Box 74, Altavista, VA 24517.
