With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth Ray Benton Jr. of Gretna, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 27, 2025 at the age of 65. As Kenneth departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Kenneth. Though Kenneth may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Ray Benton, Sr. and Phyllis Sutphin Cox. He is survived by: his children, Heather Benton (Lamar Taylor), Shawn Benton (Jayla Cox) of Altavista and Lynn Roach (Christian) of Eagle Rock; and his grandchildren, Adrianna Benton, Aaliyah Taylor and Emma Roach.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Colbert-Moran Funeral Home (307 Main St, Gretna, VA 24557).
