We announce the death of Norman Hedrick of Gretna, Virginia, who passed away on September 12, 2026, at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Cabel Hedrick and Myrtle Shelton Hedrick; his siblings, Estelle Abbott, Lois Brooks, Dorothy Johnson, Margaret Hedrick, Gordon, Garland, Wayne and Adrian Hedrick; and his son-in-law Rickey Betterton.
He is survived by: his sister Jeri Dowdy; his wife Patsy S. Hedrick; his children, Kimberly Betterton, Karla Doss (Leroy) and Todd Hedrick; his grandchildren, Heather Doss (Chris), Brian Adkins, Kelly Bowen, Ethan Doss, Heath Doss (Abby) and Zach Hedrick; and his great grandchildren, Logan Pyles, Luken Pyles, Mila Doss, Arthur Adkins, Cole Simmons, Cael Doss, Graham Doss, Grayson Doss and Sadie Mae Doss. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
