He was predeceased by: his father William Edward; and his brother-in-law Steven "Toad" Ray Hogan. He is survived by: his mother Patsy Lewis Francis of Gretna; his wife Rhonda Mayhew Francis; his godson David Michael (Cailyn) of Gretna; and his siblings, Chris Francis (Marcia) of Chatham, Andy Francis (Rhonda) of Maryland, Connie Hogan of Gretna, Barbara Neal (Terry) of Gretna and Susan Hall of North Carolina. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
