"Buddy" Poindexter and Gary Poindexter; and her siblings, Aaron Smith, Andrew Smith, Anna Elizabeth "Lizzie" Smith-Miles, Kimmie Smith, Nathaniel "Butch" Smith, Corrie Smith, Franklin Delano "Frank" Smith, Clairdean Smith-Bryant, Lester Smith and Clementine Smith-Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen E. Morse-Briggs (Nathaniel) of Arrington, Virginia, Daniel L. "Danny" Morse of Arrington, Virginia, Denise A. Poindexter-Williams of Maryland, Tawanna P. Cason (Pastor Anthony Cason) of Maryland, James L. McCarthy (Vernice) of Richmond, Virginia, Keith E. McCarthy (Mitzi) of Ashland, Virginia, Jerry Poindexter and Charles Poindexter (Patricia); her daughters-in-law, Darlene Poindexter and Diana Poindexter; and her sisters-in-law, Alease Smith and Portia Smith. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren: numerous great-grandchildren, her nieces and nephews: and many other loving family members and friends.
