It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Raynes Stroop of Grottoes, Virginia, who passed away on September 24, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Prentice Davis and Sadie Raynes (Herring); and her siblings, Thomas, Herbert Raynes, Wanda Lake, Ruby Lutz and Dianna Raynes.

She is survived by: her children, Lorenda Gauronski (Jeff) and Jeremy Stroop (Tracey); her grandsons, Trevor J. and Zachary D. Gauronski; her siblings, Prentice Raynes (Phyllis), Calvin Raynes (Becky), Donald Raynes, Brenda Hoover (Billy) and Valeria Rhodes; her family, Jamie and Stephanie Housden; Jessica, Gracie and Jacob. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
