She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Roadcap and April Raynes Roadcap; her former husband Daniel Lee McCallister; her husband Robert Paul "Bob" Hunter; and her siblings, Carolyn Morris, Ronnie and Eugene Roadcap.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Glenna; her children, Jennifer Garrison Grottoes (Gordon), Karen Sue Wright Waynesboro (Gary), Melesa Duncan Harrisonburg (Robert), Jeffrey McCallister and David McCallister Waynesboro (Shelia); her sister Linda Roberson Waynesboro (Jimmy); her sister-in-law Janet McCallister Raynes of New Carrollton, MD; her grandchildren, April Thornton (Harvey), Jessica Kilby (O. J.), Kascie Ellinger (Chad), AaMie Good (Michael), Hillary Ellis (Ryan), Matthew Kyger (Sarah), Tony Kirby, Jeffrey Hedrick, Josh Irvine (Ashley), Jacob McCallister (Jessica) and Jerrica Turner (Jeremy); and her caregivers, Crystal and Wendy. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-granddaughters, and leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Service - Grottoes (201 Dogwood Ave, Grottoes, VA 24441).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grottoes Church of God at 103 3rd Street, Grottoes, Virginia 24441 or First Choice Hospice at 1819 Virginia Avenue, Harrisonburg, Virginia.
