With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janice (Phillips) Mowbray of Grottoes, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 8, 2025 at the age of 67. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Ervin and Violet Mae Phillips (Grandle); and her brother Dennis "Denny" Phillips. She is survived by: her husband Alvin Lewis Mowbray; her children, Tracey Boyers (Archie) of Broadway, Laura Taylor (Sam) of Harrisonburg and Derek Mowbray (Malisa) of Grottoes; her siblings, Ronnie Phillips of Rockingham, Yvonne Byrd of Rockingham and Yvette Dove (Bruce) of Broadway; and her grandchildren, Austin Carr, Clora Carr, Lea Summers and Blake Mowbray. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests all memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
