He is survived by: his wife Brenda Stiltner Ashby of Grundy, VA; his children, Michelle Cole (Randy) of Grundy, VA, Donald Dwayne Ashby (Jill) of Ashland, KY and Destiny Ashby (Chase Ramey) of Grundy, VA; his grandchildren, Chelsea Fannon (Darrell), Logan Cole of Grundy, VA, Tate Ashby (Mia Ferguson) of Lexington, KY, Maverick Ashby, Brooks Ashby, Grey Ashby of Ashland, KY, Conner Ashby and Collyns Ashby of Grundy, VA; his goddaughter Heather Adkins (Will); and his siblings, Darrell Ashby (Linda) of Bristol, VA, Chet Ashby (Debbie) and Carolyn Estep (John) of Hurley, VA.. He is also survived by 1 Great-Grandchild on the way; 2 Step-Great-Grandchildren.
