Ethel M. Hale Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel M. Hale of Grundy, Virginia, who passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cummins Brown and Eunice Wyatt (Vance); her husband Robert E. "Bob" Hale; and her siblings, Mary Edith Wyatt Gilliam, Bea Wyatt Chambers, Mable Wyatt Charles, Stafford Wyatt of James Wyatt, C. P. and Henry Franklin Wyatt.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Hale Wiley of Grundy, VA, Brenda Hale Bledsoe (Curtis) of Blountville, TN and Bobbie Hale of Grundy, VA; her grandchildren, Robert Lance Wiley (Peggy) and Tiffany Wiley Cleland (Chad); her great grandchildren, Robert Quinlan Wiley, Taylor Reece Cleland and Charles Jackson Cleland; her caregiver Rebecca Farmer; and her pet Sugar. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Grundy Funeral Home (22208 Riverside Dr, Grundy, VA 24614). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. An entombment was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at the Greenhills Memory Gardens.
