He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrison Estep and Hester Estep (Prater); his wife Dorothy Estep (Adkins); his daughter Amanda Lynn Estep; and his siblings, Oliver Estep and Nellie Urbanaski.
He is survived by: his sons, James "Shotty" (Donita Estep) of Grundy, VA and Ezra Jr. (Melody Estep) of Lillington, NC; his grandchildren, Savannah (Logan Boyd), Chandler Estep of Grundy, VA, Jake, Luke and Cade Estep of Lillington, NC; his great grandchildren, Lyla and Cam Boyd; his siblings, Raymond Estep, Barbara Hatfield, Mae Adkins, Fay Stiltner and Bonnie Estep; and his caregivers, Gladys Hunt and Charlotte Thomas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
