It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Juanita Childress Justice of Grundy, Virginia, who passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Childress and Louisa Childress (Wood); her husband Phillip Carmel Justice, Sr.; and her siblings, Ethel Myers, George Childress, Claude Childress, Carl Childress and Irving Childress.
She is survived by: her children, Phillip Carmel Justice, Jr. (Beverly), Rebecca Thornbury (David) and Penelope Turner (Joe); and her grandchildren, Abigail Yoder (Thornbury), Joseph Turner, Katherine Thornbury, Jane Turner, John Thornbury and Heidi Turner. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Grundy Funeral Home (22208 Riverside Dr, Grundy, VA 24614). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at the Mountain Valley Memorial Park (32350 Riverside Dr, Big Rock, VA 24603).
