He is survived by: his daughters, Samantha Hess (Jon) of Lebanon, VA and Savanna Powell (Travis) of Wise, VA; his sister Jackie "Sissy" Hamilton (Randy) of Bristol, TN; and his grandsons, Brennan Hess, Kannan Hess and Roman Hess.
