She was predeceased by: her parents, Kermit Martin and Elizabeth Martin; her son Justin Burkett; and her husband Dolphus Burkett. She is survived by: her children, Timmy Burkett (Meaghan) and Jessica Slusher (Jason); and her sisters, Rebecca Armentrout (late Mitchell), Judy Guild (Dave) and Estelle Pruden (Eston).
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Gum Spring United Methodist Church (191 Cross County Rd, Gum Spring, VA 23065). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In honor of Faye's memory, the family requests that any donations be made to a Gum Spring United Methodist Church in her name.
