She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Hurbert Martin, Sr. and Erma Compton Martin; and her siblings, James, Joe, John, Lee Martin, Evelyn Suitt and Janie Brooks.

She is survived by: her sisters, Brenda Hancock of Halifax, Judy Martin of Halifax and Marion Clayton of Petersburg, VA.
