Thompson of Greensboro, NC and Hugh Watson McDowell Jr. of South Boston; her grandchildren, Ashley C. Nyssen (Adam) of Manhattan Beach, CA, David W. Crotts (Lauren) of Richmond, Travis L. Jones (Lisa) of South Boston, Morgan McDowell of Lynchburg, Courtney Rogers (Flave) of Clover, SC and Mary Catherine White (Jeremy) of Elizabethtown, NC; and her sister Ellen Elliott of South Boston. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
