It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Medley Adams of Halifax, Virginia, who passed away on October 27, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruth Medley Adams to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Roy Medley and Opal Adams Medley; her son Nicholas "Nick" Adams; and her siblings, Kitty Blair, Lois Crewdson, Jimmy Medley and Ronald Perkins.
She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Gail Adams of Halifax; her sister Nera Lee Hunt of Mechanicsville; and her siblings-in-law, Diane Medley, Rosann Oakes and Kirby Blair. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home (1603 Wilborn Ave, South Boston, VA 24592). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
