As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Alton may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Brown and Katie Brown; his sons, Aaron Britt and Alton Brothers; and his siblings, George "Hump" Brown, Jr., Cora Sterns and Glanice Boone.
He is survived by: his siblings, Nathaniel "Scap" Brown (Christine), Leroyal "Lee" Brown and Ruth Webb (Eddie). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and many devoted relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rose - Emily Memorial Chapel of C. C. Carter Funeral Home (3700 Marshall Ave, Newport News, VA 23607). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at the Hampton Memorial Gardens (155 Butler Farm Rd, Hampton, VA 23666).
