He is survived by: his wife Terrie Hale Viars; his son Armonda Carson Viars; his granddaughters, Lilliana and Madison Viars; his siblings, Jimmy Viars (Juli), John Viars (Brenda) and Jeanne Baaklini; and his siblings-in-law, Pamela Hale Johnson, Amber Hale Betts and Timothy Hale. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
