She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughter Bernice L. Evans; her parents, Raymond Braxton and Minnie Braxton; her husband Holland Evans; her sisters, Vivian, Gloria and Brenda; her foster mother Eliza Harris; her son Huemadson (Shaynique); her sister Patricia Sycamore; and her granddaughter Joann Newsome. She was also cherished by nieces and nephew, cousins and other relatiives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Nickelson-Cummings Funeral Home (4304 Victoria Blvd, Hampton, VA 23669).
