He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn; his parents, Lillian and Charles; and his sisters, Ida and Helen.

He is survived by: his sons, Charles "Chuck" Kenneth Salmon Jr. (Alicia), Tony Salmon and Kurt Salmon (Coreen); his grandchildren, Kenneth Gregory Salmon (Whitney), Kaylee (Logan), Toby, Brittany, Rebecca, Brooke Bristow (Shane) and Amber Evans (Kyle); his great grandchildren, Grayson, Cole, Raelynn, Noah, Riley and Abigail; and his siblings, June and Harry.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Kenny's memory.
