With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clara Joan Babcock of Hampton, Virginia, who passed away on March 16, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Vigeant and Julia Vigeant; her husband James Babcock; her daughters, Susan Powell and Jennifer Salldin; her son-in-law Charles Powell, III; and her siblings, Mary Vigeant, Sally Vigeant and Raymond Vigeant.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Evelyn Peterman, Lucy Smith (Matthew), Olivia Hines (Spenser) and William Salldin; her great grandchildren, Margot, Eva, Hazel, Jaxon and Owen; and her sister-in-law Leslie Young (John).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Clara's name to a charity of your choice.
