He was predeceased by: his daughter Leann Ashcom; his parents, Claude R. Watts, Sr. and Marie Anders Watts; and his siblings, Fred Watts and Patricia Walker.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia M. Watts; and his sister Margaret Hunt. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, 5 nephews.
