He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph C. Dickerson and Geraldine White Dickerson Williams; and his grandson Dustin Todd Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Sandra F. Aliff Dickerson; his children, Marla Dickerson, Ellen Dickerson Schwinn (Mike), Richard Brooks Jr. and Todd Hawkins; his grandchildren, Kelsey Dickerson Tilghman, Wade Dickerson, Rachel Reed, Olivia Hawkins, Seth Hawkins, Josh Schwinn, Emma Dickerson, Lilly Hawkins and Nathan Schwinn; his great grandchild Huxley Tilghman; and his brothers, Ronald Dickerson (Eleanor) and Robert Dickerson (Sandy). He is also survived by several nephews and cousins.
