He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank McAllister Sr. and Ruth Marshall Hartbarger; his stepparents, Barbara McAllister and Donald Hartbarger; and his brothers, Roger Marshall, Donney Marshall, Dee McAllister and Ralph McAllister.

He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Kennison of Newport News, Beverly Cox of Hampton, Brittany Marshall of Hampton, Gabrielle Marshall of Hampton and Joshua Braid of Newport News; his siblings, Donna Schrimsher, Dennis Hartbarger of Hopewell, Bobby McAllister of Millboro, Frank McAllister, Jr. of Craigsville and Douglas McAllister of Narrows; his aunt Peggy Sensabaugh (Freeman) of Goshen; and his grandchildren, Ryan Marshall, Annabella Marshall, Mark Marshall, Keith Marshall, Karli Cox, Michelle Hewitt, Cristina Bridges, Paula Woods, Erica Kennison, Tenisha Kennison, Tazlynn Kennison and Leon Kennison, Jr.. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
