“I remember the first day he bought his purple 34 Ford Coupe and how happy he was. He called my dad and we drove down to the garage he had it parked in and he drove me around Hampton in it. I didn’t know much about it but I just knew how cool it was and how happy he was to have it. I surely miss seeing that purple car pull into the driveway and Dan hopping out and saying “hey sport!” when he saw me and I saw and gave uncle Dan a hug.”

“Uncle Dan and my late father Paul Boswell, were best friends. Dan was around my entire life. My father and Dan, along with some of their best friends such as Steve Hux shared a love for classic Chevys and building cars. One of the last conversations I had with Dan was about finding a 56 Chevy like my father had when they were younger. That conversation was finished with Dan telling me he had just drove down to a car show in Nags Head and we talked about his second love, his 34 Ford Coupe.”
