He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse J. Deuell and Annie B. Deuell; his wife Leah; and his siblings, Jesse, Roy, Charlie, Virginia DeBerry, Maza Lee Williams, Suzie Johnson and Judy Walker.

He is survived by: his brother Tommy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
