He was predeceased by: his father Nelson Futrell, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Angela; his children, Brandon, Ryan, Jessica and Alexis; his grandchildren, Ryan S., Makenzi, Mason and Raven; his mother Brenda Futrell; and his siblings, Nelson Leonard Futrell (Demetria) and Brenelle Futrell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, church family, and friends.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Hope Baptist Church (1415 Big Bethel Rd, Hampton, VA 23666-5326). A burial was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at the Hampton Memorial Gardens (155 Butler Farm Rd, Hampton, VA 23666).
