He was predeceased by: his son Richard. He is survived by: his wife Sydney; his children, Douglas (Moe), Sindy (Luck) and Ellen; and his siblings, Jay, Nancy Schoephoester and Jill Newbauer (Stuart). He is also survived by three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two nieces, a great nephew and a great niece.
